Can you use the white IPod USB cable to charge the new IPhone?

I just bought an IPhone and the battery runs out FAST. I was going to buy a second USB charging cable when I noticed it looked very similar to the USB white cable that came with my Ipod. Are they the same and can you use them for both devices? Mainly, can you use the Ipod USB cable to charge the Iphone?

Other portable video players can only accept data from computers while pocket dish can be accessed directly from your television set up which is a great benefit indeed.

Pocket dish resembles with video iPod in terms of LCD display and hard drive capacity. But the advantage actually lies in pricing. Apple iPod costs a lot more than this EchoStar product. Also not having a computer set up the iPod thing is actually of no use, where as you can transfer data to your pocket dish directly from satellite TV.
