i bought a used motorola cliq but i dont have a data plan?

i just bought it used and on my samsung gravity it wont let me use the internet, is it blocked altogether? and will my cliq use data? how can i turn it off if it does?

The motorola Cliq requires data because of android systems. Android is connected to the internet the moment you turn it on and you cannot block it. without internet the phone doesnt work properly. You cant do nething with it and daily charges could be about $35 of internet service, if you dont get a data plan
