How to find original dealer of my car?
I bought a 2006 odyssey from used car dealer. The audio system was locked for some reason, and asking for a code. The used car dealer gave the contact information of the original dealer, and told me they should be able to help. But the information he gave was incorrect, and he does not know any further information. How can I find the original dealer of my car?
To get that code you don't have to go to the original selling dealer. First off, check in the glovebox for a little sticker with a 4-5 digit code. I worked at honda and sometimes the sales people would stick the stereo code right inside of the glovebox, or in the cover of the owners manual. Otherwise, to get the code from a different honda dealer they will need the serial # off of the radio and they can get you the code. So you can either pull it out yourself or pay the Honda dealer around $75.00 and they can remove the radio and get you the code. Good luck!
